Redact an image
Sharing a screenshot of a chat, an invoice, a bank app or an email? Drag a box over every name, phone number, IBAN or address and it turns into a solid black bar. Unlike a thin blur, a filled bar can't be reversed, and because the image is flattened into a new file, nothing hidden underneath survives.

FAQ
Can someone remove the black bar?
No. The pixels underneath are replaced, not covered by a layer, so the original content is gone from the downloaded file.
Should I blur or black out?
Black out for text such as names and numbers: light blur can sometimes be reversed. Pixelation at high strength is also safe.
Is my image uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser; the picture never leaves your device.
